Watch our webinar: “An introduction to HMOs and their benefits in infants with cow’s milk protein allergy”.
Dr Sophie Nutten, immunologist specialising in allergy and early-life immune development, discussed the significance of Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) in infant nutrition, particularly for infants with cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA). The session ended with an insightful Q and A session. She covered:
1. The composition of HMOs and their role in supporting the immune system and gut microbiota.
2. HMOs effectiveness in hypoallergenic formulas.
3. How HMOs enhance gut barrier function, modulate immune responses, and improve tolerance to allergens.
